Online Design Club

Topics include basic drawings, tracing perspective, gradient and collage using industry-standard design software, Adobe Illustrator. Our expert facilitators will provide live demonstrations of tools and techniques, followed by time to work on individual activities or projects with our team on hand to provide support and guidance where needed. Each session will conclude with a group discussion and opportunity to share. This club will provide a fun opportunity to be creative whilst learning how to use a powerful design tool!

Online Tech Club

With the Nillumbik Maker Lab due to launch in Term 3, Nillumbik Youth have partnered with the Banyule Nillumbik & Whittlesea Tech Schools to offer a free 6 week introductory Tech Club to give young people a taste of what Nillumbik Youth Maker Lab is all about.

Commencing Tuesday 19 May, the online program will take participants through a range of skills and work on projects online such as using microcontrollers, learning how to program a game, digital design, 3D design and more.

The Nillumbik Youth Maker Lab is a creative afterschool program for young people aged 10 to 18, to explore creativity, design, make, and take part in free activities within a supported environment.

The Youth Maker Lab provides an opportunity for young people to make use of the facilities and equipment at the Banyule Nillumbik Tech School, and leverage the expertise available for their own projects outside of school hours. It will offer mentoring facilitated by trained mentors in areas such as digital design, programming, 3D printing, and game design.

A technology club for young people aged 10 to 18 with high-functioning autism. Participants are paired with mentors who have technical expertise of mutual interest such as programming, 3D and digital design, and gaming.
