GIRLS DESIGNING FOR WILDLIFE

21 & 22 January 2021

As a result of the black summer fires and the ongoing impacts of climate change, our unique wildlife species are increasingly finding themselves with limited access to essential resources.

This program seeks to teach students about the basic requirements for sustaining wildlife in the face of these challenges. Students will learn about the trials of designing for wildlife and the difficulty of replicating natural systems using man made materials.

This two day program supports to design prototypes that might help solve these real world problems.
Students will learn about the wildlife in their local area using geospatial data, skill up in 3D modelling and explore basic coding for microcontrollers.
