About
The Banyule Nillumbik Tech School is part of the Victorian government Tech Schools initiative to move school education into the future. We develop and run specialist STEAM programs and activities that help prepare local students for the challenges of the future and the changing nature of work.
Our programs are designed in partnership with community, industry and schools in response to key challenges facing the local community.
Teachers deliver our programs both within their school and at the Tech School alongside our staff, utilising our cutting-edge facilities, equipment and expertise.
Partner secondary schools from the Banyule Nillumbik catchment can sign up groups of students for our core and specialist programs based on their school’s point allocation.

Our Values
Young people are the heart of our Tech School. We aim to recognise and develop their potential to face the future world of work.
Through a spirit of generosity, challenging each other to do better, and promoting creating together our Tech School has earned trust in the community.
Realising opportunities through development of entrepreneurial skills using innovation and agile practices. Fostering creative minds through real world, hands on learning. Seeing success and failure as opportunities to improve.
We share our space and tell the story of what we do. Authentic collaborations with industry and local community open opportunities to tackle real world solutions. Everyone is included and able to access the Banyule Nillumbik Tech School.
Tech and Expertise
We offer a range of exciting technology as part of our programs. From 3D printing to digital embroidery! Students work alongside industry experts to gain practical skills and knowledge that will prepare them for future work.
