Program Overview

This one day program showcases priority industry areas across Melbourne’s North including Food and Fibre, Advanced Manufacturing, Scientific and Technical and Health and Social Assistance. Students rotate through industry and tech based experiences delivered by Melbourne Polytechnic and Tech school industry-experienced practitioners, showcasing pathways to future study, including VET and careers.

Industry Partner

Students will participate in a number of industry linked activities which may include drone flying, virtual reality, podcasting, projection art and systems engineering. They will tour Melbourne Polytechnic’s training facilities, visiting state-of-the-art health simulation suites for Aged Care, Disability and Pathology Laboratory.

The Allied Health Industry Tech Taster is a shared initiative driven by Tech School and Melbourne Polytechnic’s Allied Health, and Future Students Staff.

Objective:

To expose students to a range of technology-based activities with direct links to real-world applications, within the Allied Health industry.

Dates:

Term 2: 18th May -Thursday

Term 3: 12th September -Tuesday

Term 4: 21st November-Tuesday
