Words from our Director

What a joy to be back at the Tech School!

After a short time on maternity leave, followed by a 12 month secondment leading Melbourne Polytechnic’s Quality, Policy and Improvement teams, it is so great to be back working face to face with young people, as they join us to solve real world problems for industry.

Following a very busy Term 3, we have launched into Term 4 this week with a bang as we welcome Montmorency SC, Eltham College, Plenty Valley Christian College, Melbourne Girls College, Home Education Network, Bundoora SC, Eltham HS and Diamond Valley College throughout October.

For schools looking to keep students challenged and engaged in Term 4, we have a number of spaces available in November to book into a program that suits your school cohort – come join us and fly a drone, make an arcade game or jump in and learn what is happening with Future Transport working with mentors from North East Link and the many exciting careers in engineering available right here on our doorstep in Melbourne’s North!

Please hit the Book a Consultation Button below to chat with one of the team about how we can best support your school.

What’s coming up?

  • We now have three drone pilots working at the Tech School! In 2023, data science, spatial mapping and drone flying will be featured in some of our programs so keep your eyes peeled for details on our 2023 programs coming soon.
  • This Term we launch our brand new after school Maker Space running on each Tuesday. Students have the opportunity to be funded through the tech school to work on a project and create something wonderful, working along side Tech School Mentors.
  • On November 10 we will be holding a Cheese and Wine Teacher Networking evening at the Tech School, where we invite you to come along, learn more about the Tech School and our programs for next year, while enjoying local produce and meeting like minded individuals.

I certainly look forward to connecting with you again very soon.
