It has been an extremely busy fortnight at Banyule Nillumbik Tech School with 14 different programs running for students in years 7-10 including Illustrator Design, CAD, Coding and App Design, plus the addition of 300 year 7 students from Viewbank College working through our Biodiverse City Inquiry Program and several schools participating in our Animal Human Interactions Design Challenge.

Our after school clubs are still going strong online and will continue for the rest of the Term. Schools may wish to promote via their school newsletters The Lab Greensborough – our online tech club for 10 – 19 year olds with high functioning Autism and Asperger’s and our online Maker Lab run by our partners at Nillumbik Youth, available to Primary and Secondary students.

We have had a lot of requests from teachers interested in upskilling in a range of technical areas during lock down. Schools can make contact for bespoke professional development tailored to suit your school context via BanyuleNillumbikTS@melbournepolytechnic.edu.au

Our next Students Ambassador session will be held on 4 September. It’s not too late to register your students to attend this exciting CAD Master Class!

As we wait in anticipation for the announcement that we will return to face to face delivery of programs, we have limited space available for schools wishing to book into online programs for the end of Term 3.

Stay safe out there.
